Jal Jeevan Mission orientation program held at Poonch

Today, an orientation program under Jal Jeevan Mission, was organised at Dak Bunglow Poonch in which the IEC Consultant of Mission Directorate Jammu Mr. Sajal Shrivastav interacted with the district officers of Jal Shakti department,

PRIs and panchayat nodal persons of district Poonch. The program was presided over by Superintending Engineer hydraulic circle Poonch Er. Rajinder Kumar Sharma. Er. Sharma and the IEC consultant Mr. Sajal Srivastav explained the aims, objectives and responsibilities of PRIs, Pani Samitis and Nodal persons in the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission.

The resource persons of Jal Shakti department Poonch has given the training of Water testing with FTK to the panchayat nodal persons in the orientation program. The importance of Water sanitation and hygiene was discussed in length. Furthermore, the rain water harvesting and grey water management was also explained in detail and how can these step resolve water crises. The procedure to nominate skilled persons was also discussed in the program.

On this occasion, Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Poonch, Er. Rajinder Kumar Sharma emphasized on quality construction, operation and maintenance of the JJM schemes. Executive Engineer PHE Division among others were also present. Various sarpanches and penches were also present in the meeting. The entire team of ISA, project in-charge Imtiaz Lone, Team leader Waseem Ahmed Shaheen, Block Coordinator Mohd Younis, Surveyers Usman Ghani and Mohd shoib were also present.
